Today I was going to write about some of my plans that I have for 2014, but I read this article from a post on one of my friend's on Facebook and thought that it was a good idea to re-post. Many times we set goals and want things, but without realizing the people we hang around with keep us from achieving the success we want. This was an important lesson for me in 2013. Luckily, my team and some new people I am now associating with opened up my eyes. It was a tough decision I had to make in 2013. Changing the people I was hanging around with and doing business with was not easy. There's feelings, emotions, a kind of comfort because I had been around certain people for such a long time, but at the same time a discomfort because I wasn't progressing and almost felt like I was regressing. I was lucky to have some awesome people on my team, a couple of great friends and a wife who can really set me straight. Making the change became easy when I realized where I was... and as they say... seek and you shall find. A great friend introduced me to some great people who have the same priorities and similar values to mine. Because of this, 2013 ended with momentum and now my plan, and the system that we put together for 2014 is simple to follow because the feelings and emotions of guilt, remorse, and frustration disappeared when I changed the people I started hanging around with. This article that I read really puts things into perspective and it's what has allowed me to move on with my big plans for 2014. I hope it helps. Check it out: Stop Spending Time With Toxic People
